Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 13, 2026
Piqo Analytics (“Piqo”, “we”) is a privacy-first web analytics service operated by MVP Stack LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. It applies both to people who use Piqo as customers and to visitors of websites that have Piqo installed.
01Two kinds of people, two kinds of data
We process data about two distinct groups:
- Customers — the people and businesses who create a Piqo account to track their own websites.
- Visitors — the people who load a website that has the Piqo tracker installed.
02What we collect from website visitors
Piqo is designed to give website owners useful analytics without tracking individuals. When a visitor loads a page on a site that uses Piqo, our tracker sends us:
- The URL of the page being viewed (path and query string)
- The referrer URL, if your browser sends one
- UTM campaign parameters (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign) if present - Approximate country, region, and city derived from your IP
- Device, operating system, and browser family parsed from your User-Agent
- The time of the request
We do not use cookies, localStorage, fingerprinting, or any other persistent identifier on visitor devices. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personally identifying information from website visitors.
03How we identify sessions without tracking you
To count unique visitors and sessions, we generate a short-lived hash from your IP address, your User-Agent, the target site, and a salt that rotates every day. The IP address itself is never written to our database. Because the salt rotates daily, the same visitor returning the next day will be counted as a new visitor — by design.
04What we collect from customers
When you create a Piqo account, we store:
- Your email address and display name (from Google, or sign-up form)
- A Firebase user ID linking your account to our authentication provider (we do not store passwords)
- Your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, if you start a paid plan
- The websites you choose to track and any settings (excluded paths, affiliates, Stripe key, etc.)
05How we use the data
- To show you analytics about your own websites in your dashboard
- To send you transactional email — receipts, trial reminders, and account notices
- To enforce plan limits and detect abuse
- To improve Piqo (aggregated, never per-visitor)
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
06Who else processes the data (sub-processors)
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — sign-in, account management
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — sending transactional email
- Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection for the tracker script
- Hetzner — server hosting in Germany
07Where the data lives
Event data and account data are stored on servers in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). Payment data is handled by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy.
08How long we keep things
- Event data — 5 years from the date of the event. You can export or delete it earlier.
- Account data — kept while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of account closure.
- Backups — rolling 30-day window, then permanently deleted.
09Your rights
If you are a Piqo customer, you can access, export, or permanently delete your data at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing [email protected].
If you are a visitor to a website that uses Piqo and want your data removed, contact the website owner — they are the data controller for their own analytics. We can't identify you in our data on our own (that's the point), so the website owner has to make the request on your behalf.
10Children
Piqo is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone in that age range.
11Changes to this policy
We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we change anything material, and notify active customers by email for significant changes.
